Bonus: The Hamilton Park area of Jersey City has tons of great food options. Hamilton Park is nestled in the heart of downtown Jersey City and offers a large playground, tennis courts, dog runs, a basketball court, and lots of grass. It may not be the biggest water playground, but this Hamilton Park spot sure is fun! The splash pad is fenced in and features in-ground sprinklers and buckets of water dropped from overhead. (Tip: Park in the parking garage-if you spend $10 at Morton Williams, it will validate for two hours of parking). There's even a carousel for when the kids tire of the water features. The park's water features include spraying misters, rings to run through, and dumping buckets, as well as a little beach complete with umbrellas and sand.

It has everything (and more) that you could ask for in a playground. I made alot of new friends and it got me ready to tackle the real world. To finalize, I really liked my experience at AHS. With the lack of guards, the school was forced to close bathrooms and eliminate real ‘free time’ during homeroom after 1st block. But other than him, there are 2 other guards plus a police officer. I am friends with one of the security guards and he is a really nice guy. The part I did not like AHS was the lack of security. We got a senior parade, senior awards, a mister softee truck, athletic and regular signing days, and even a senior breakfast and bbq. The best part I loved about my time at AHS would be how much the school gives back to the seniors. The administration is really bice and really well to connect with.

At AHS, there is really something for everyone. Alum: It was a really solid experience, good sized classrooms, great selection of classes, and great teachers.
